Keep the agreed quote, invoice, and actual payment connected as you complete your first job.

1. Create the estimate

Open Estimates, start a new estimate, and select the customer. Enter the agreed services, quantities, rates, tax, and expiry date. Save and preview.

Start with the customer’s estimate and review its status in the list.

2. Send for acceptance

Review the recipient and message before sending. Check the estimate’s acceptance status before starting work or billing the agreed scope.

3. Create the invoice

When appropriate, use the estimate’s convert-to-invoice action. Check for an invoice already created by automatic conversion so the same job is not billed twice.

4. Review and send

Check the invoice customer, dates, items, total, and payment methods. Save, preview, then send when ready.

5. Verify money received

For an online payment, check the recorded payment result. For money received elsewhere, use Manage Payments → Record payment once with the actual date, amount, and account. Review the outstanding balance.
