Credit notes created for a customer can be seamlessly applied to an invoice issued to the same customer. This feature is particularly useful for offsetting the amount owed by the customer against the credit value, thus reducing the invoice value. You can apply a credit note fully or partially across one or several invoices for that customer.

How to Apply Credits to an Invoice

  • Go to Invoicing > Credit Notes. 
  • Choose the credit note you wish to apply to an invoice.
  • Click Apply to Invoice, located on the right side panel of the application.
  • Enter the amount from the credit note that you want to apply to the customer's invoice.
  • Click Save.

Note: If there are remaining credits after this action, the status of the credit note remains Open. The status changes to Closed once all credits are utilized.
