Logging time for tasks is crucial to track work progress and ensure accurate billing. Invoice Crowd provides two convenient time logging methods: single daily entries and weekly timesheets. These methods enable you to track billable hours, monitor project progress, and generate reports seamlessly.
Time Logging Methods
1. Single Time Entry
For one-off or daily task updates, you can log time with the following fields:
- User ID: The person who performed the work.
- Project ID: The associated project.
- Task ID: The specific task being tracked.
- Date: The date the work was completed.
- Duration: Time spent in HH:MM format.
- Billable Status: Mark time as billable or non-billable.
- Notes (Optional): Add context or additional details for the entry.
2. Weekly Timesheet
For managing multiple time entries in bulk, the weekly timesheet provides:
- A consolidated view of time entries by week.
- The ability to log time for multiple days at once.
- Automatic disabling of future dates to prevent incorrect entries.
- Tracking of billable/non-billable status for each entry.
How to Log Time
1. Daily Time Entry
- Navigate to the project containing the task.
- Select the specific task.
- Click on Add Time Entry.
- Enter the following details:
- Date: The day the work was performed.
- Time Spent: In HH:MM format.
- Billable Status: Mark as billable or non-billable.
- Notes (Optional): Provide additional details if necessary.
- Click Save Entry to record the time.
2. Weekly Timesheet
- Access the Weekly Timesheet view.
- Locate the relevant project/task.
- Enter the number of hours for each day in the week.
- Mark each entry as billable or non-billable.
- Submit the timesheet for approval or review.
