Before you begin, ensure the following are in place:

  • A project is set up in your account.
  • Time logs have been recorded for the project.
  • Project billing preferences are configured.
  • You have the appropriate permissions to create invoices.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Access Project Time Logs

  • Navigate to the Projects section in your dashboard.
  • Select the specific project you want to invoice.
  • Click on the Time Logs tab to view all recorded time entries.

2. Configure Invoice Preferences

Before generating an invoice, verify your preferences:

  • Go to the project's Invoice Preferences section.
  • Set up the following options:
    • Billing Rate Type: Choose between per hour or fixed.
    • Currency: Specify the currency for the invoice.
    • Tax Settings: Configure applicable taxes.
    • Rounding Rules: Define how time is rounded (e.g., up to the nearest minute).
