Use a Developer API key for software you control, scoped to one business.

1. Open Developer API

As the owner, choose Account menu → Integrations → Developer API → Create API Key.

2. Choose its permissions

Name the key, choose one business, and select Read Only or Read and Write Records. Select the record areas needed. Choose Edit Existing Records only if the software needs supported edits.

3. Confirm and save the key

Complete owner confirmation, then save the once-shown key privately. Access cannot be added to this key later.

4. Open API Reference

Use API Reference on the same card for the current API address, authentication, fields, request examples, and limits. Writes save immediately; this API does not send messages or record payments.
